As part of Startup Bahrain Week, Rowad talk – organized by Bahrain Development Bank’s Rowad program – hosted entrepreneur Elie Habib, co-founder of Anghami.

The leading music streaming service in the Middle East and North Africa was launched in 2012.

Mr. Habib and his partner Mr. Eddy Maroun seized the opportunity of lack of proper digital music service and launched Anghami. Since then, Anghami has reached over 40 million users, streaming over to 800 million songs every month. The application raised over $30 million.

During the talk, Mr. Habib spoke about his experience with Anghami and how he established this remarkable project through a dialogue with MEVP partner and Chief Investment Officer Mr. Walid Mansour on bold investments and in the presence of young entrepreneurs interested in establishing and managing emerging projects.
